I'm up and awake and doing the usual morning stuff - like reading the paper and I've got to share this one with you.
Being the last day of the year, there are always stories, videos and highlights of the past events. Sorry to be saying - but here comes a low point from the scientific community.
This little article comes from the department of blatantly obvious and yet - tax payer dollars funded these studies.
For example according to a recent study: "Women don’t like to be told they look fat" Okay, so I learned something from this study, any idiot can get a grant from the government.
A national survey found 68% of men have lied when asked by a woman: “Do I look fat in this?” The other 32% of respondents were said to have recently been dumped by their girlfriends or wives.
If you are up for a laugh, then be sure to check out The National Post for more of the truly obvious.
LEGO Celebrates 30 Years of the Miniman - Make a Mini You! In honor of the 30th anniversary of the LEGO Miniman, the beloved company has made a video chroncling the history of the Miniman, from "Star Wars to disco to the fall of the Berlin wall."
They have also set up a fun, interactive site at GoMinimanGo where you can explore bits of LEGO on the web -- from facts, to Google themes, to vintage commercials.
BEST yet, you can insert yourself into the Miniman evolution video as a Mini You!
A short time ago I pointed out that terrible long winded commercial with Brooke Sheilds and the VW Routan. Guess what? Now you can make a baby with Brooke or anyone else!
The RoutanBabymaker 3000 is a plaything in which two clear photos of the respective "parents" results in a virtual baby.
Check it out for yourself and have a laugh or two.
Do you have what it takes to join the specialty coffee industry Yes? Then you are a Java Girl.
From the website "We offer fine gourmet coffee and espresso drinks with fun & sexy girls to serve you. Featuring Sexy Costume Themes with a different suprise every day. Let our Java Girls entertain you!"
This is a bit of a depart from my normal postings in that - there is no real point to any of this. Not that there ever is much of a point to anything that I do post.
Christmas is rapidly approaching and to be honest with you all I haven't done much of anything for anyone – yet! Time is something that is in short supply for me and between working, the snow and a transit strike; getting out and around isn’t all that easy.
Eventually I’ll get Christmas wrapped up but for now it’s got to wait.
When I do find the time to unwind I've come across a couple of very interesting sites and things I'd like to share with you now.
I don't know what it is about this photograph, but I really like it.
You can find more of them at zemotion.net Zhang Jingna is the artist/photographer, well worth a look.
