Hello, if you're like me, which seems very unlikely, you are probably trying your hardest to catch the Peter Harris Experience each Tuesday, or each Tuesday that it's broadcast, anyway. And, if, also like me, you live too far from the Exeter area to catch the show on the radio, and have to listen to it online, you will have noticed, with bitter frustration and tears, that the Phonic FM website was down last week, with the result that there was no streaming of the show.
For a while it was touch and go whether there would be streaming today, either, but news has come through from the Harris camp, and it seems that all systems are go. Let us hope so. Last week's ill-fated line-up is to be repeated tonight for all of us who missed it:

The track by The Flobots on tonight's (Tuesday's) The Peter Harris Experience made me think of the band Cake for some reason. I haven't listened to their stuff for ages, but Fashion Nugget is an excellent album.
I was wondering what song of theirs to post. I was thinking of their cover of I Will Survive, but I realised that I don't like love songs much anymore. I'm too old for all that, as is the whole human race by now. The Distance is an excellent song, too, but, well that's kind of a love song, as well, even though it's less depressingly hopeful than I Will Survive. So I've plumped (plumbed?) for Frank Sinatra, which doesn't mention love anywhere, thank goodness, but gives us a cosmic view of things instead:
We know of an ancient radiation That haunts dismembered constellations
It also seems to describe The Peter Harris Experience:
A faintly glimmering radio station... Cobwebs fall on an old skipping record
And my life:
An old man sits collecting stamps In a room all filled with Chinese lamps

[PS. Just a note from me, Quentin. I'm very busy catching up with stuff at the moment, and that's why you haven't heard from me, whoever you are.]
I've got the Harris e-mail late this time, for some reason, but yes, The Peter Harris Experience, is on tonight, too. Do tune in, from ten PM (GMT) at Phonic FM.
I want to try and influence the playlist in some sly and conniving way. I've already made some suggestions, but I don't know if the Harris has taken to them. I think the best Ukelele-playing female Japanese pop duo in the universe for me right now is Petty Booka, but I don't know if they're quite the thing for the Harris. He might go for Afrirampo, though, if he hasn't already.
And here's the e-mail:
