Wishfull and Listless
Wishfull and listless
my mind wanders
the corridors of time
fantasy and beliefs
they gather to their
melting place
desire and longing
greet me with open arms
and fullfillment empty
profound and progressive
wishfull thoughts and rhetoric
encircle the heart
the illusion that what you
wish for
is actually true
evidence and rationality
that argues
it's existance
self serving
the bias
of emotional memory
reduced the substance
of one's youthfull
fallacy
irrelevant the conclusion
and false the comprimise
proof of assertion
meets its demise
in the lack
of chronological snobbery
and there I am left alone
wandering those corridors
isolated within my mind..
