To all artists, designers and photographers.
Ever wanted to see your work on the front cover of a novel? Well, this could be your chance.
Award-winning writer Pete Malicki is having his novel Eyes And Knives published and is looking for the best design for a front cover. This competition is free to enter and the winner will have their artwork/design/photo used as the front cover of the novel, plus receive several free copies of it once it's gone to print.
The winner will retain copyright to their work and stands to earn royalties if the design is used for further print runs or advertising.

As the domination of digital photography marches on, it has brought about the imminent demise of one of the most beautiful, beloved, and acclaimed forms of photography ever fashioned; the Polaroid. You can visit this link to read the news article:

sign the petition. Don't let such a significant form of photography die. Please spread the word.

I am fairly new to photography, and I am really getting into over the past year, my problem is I don't have much of a knack for it yet. I have forced myself to learn the basics about photography and I am now reading up my manual on my camera to familiarize myself with each of its settings. I use ps elements to do touch up work and to apply filters to some of my photos, but I am of the school that thinks that photos should be all but perfect in camera before taking the shot. To this end, I was wondering if any of you photographers out there had tips and/or tricks that would help me (and those like me) to think about the set up before we snap the shot. I am especially into night shots, landscapes, and macros so any tips along these lines would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!

Hi. I'm passionate about photography and I saw an OLYMPUS OM10 that I liked very much. Do you think it's a good camera? Should I buy it? Hope you can help me. Thanks.

The photograph comes of its proper name (photon = light and Graphos = written) that is, the photograph nothing more is of what the writing with a light. The light is the basic base and must knows deep to dominate it completely. The more the domain of the technique, more easy to show the clarity of its ideas.

posting, photos, imageshack, photobucket
Hey,
I realize now that everyone needs to be a moderator in order to upload photos. However, there are alot of members, and this may take too long to do. Because of this, I suggest that if you want to post photos for commenting, you should use Photobucket or Imageshack and post them that way.
Thanks!
