The world is suddenly a lot cooler

Guess what everyone.....

Today I adopted an African Penguin. I will receive a picture of him/her, and adoption papers and even a stuffed penguin very shortly. I will even receive a Mother's Day card from (isn't that sweet). And they will update me every six months on the progress the penguin is making and send me new pictures.

I am so happy that I did this. Can't wait to see his/her little face.

I went to my local zoo. You can adopt a penguin for a year and then decide to continue every year if you want to. They keep updating you every six months on your baby.

I just called my zoo & asked if I can Adopt a penguin & the lady I talked to said yes but needs to get back to me tomorrow. I told her about you adoption & what you get. :smile:

That foundation sounds great - I will look into next time I adopt a penguin. I might even adopt two. One for Jason, one for me.

Thanks. My stuffed animal Jake is also cute - so soft- you just want to hug him and never let him go.

I hope to get to the zoo soon and get pictures of the real Jake. That will be fun.

Check out the blog for at least a picture they sent to me. I hope to actually be able to take my own pictures soon. The zoo told me they will let adopters come to special meetings to see their "pets." At that time I will be able to get a good picture of Jake.
