More SVG support, and more fun with Outlook or Friendster
By Valgrind. Monday, 2. June 2008, 16:04:40
We have upgraded the servers today. Here are the highlights from the changelog:
- Added more country-specific default feeds. Will only show up on new installations.
- Added onClick events to the SVG support.
- Fixed compatibility with Outlook Web Access.
- JAD files can now only be opened, not saved.
- Improved support for radio buttons with onFocus attributes. This fixed problems with logging in to at least one site.
- Added a workaround to get to the desktop version of Friendster.

Notice that fonts were nice before Mini 4.0 build 10031 and later versions.

@ Valgrind: I've been experiencing ' connection failed, click here to start the test' since yesterday. About 50% of the time. If I backbutton, I cut that to 30%. The other error I get is ...invalid response from an upstream server.
This is still happening on June 3rd.

It also happened to Friendster.com, and it's so bad.
I've emailed them and they gave me a clue how to switch to desktop version in a difficult way.

The opera mini 4.1 is better than other versions. But there are some errors that is irritating me.
I cant download large size files such as songs and videos. But i can download pictures, documents, themes, ringtones. But it doesnt show the downloading rate or how much downloaded. Please upgrade opera mini so that it can download large size files and can show downloading rates or percent. I appricate that it is the only browser that can give so much functions and features. So it is used by all the mobile browsing people.

Opera mini would need to have some sort of basic music player built in to play the podcasts, but that shouldn't be impossible. It wouldn't even have to provide built in support for media codecs, it could just use the codecs provided in the device. Other than that, since some devices don't have alot of memory, the player could stream audio over the network rather than store locally, or provide an option to do both. Alot of people would also love to use the media player to listen to any songs they've got on their devices, or maybe stream songs from some internet radio feeds, making opera mini's browsing experience much more pleasant and fun.

I'm on a Nokia N80, and Opera Mobile and the S60 webkit browser both work with the same wifi access points. Is there anyplace I'm supposed to report this and get support?
