For your information:

Louisiana Museum of Modern Art got it's name from a guy by the name Alexander Brun. He erected the villa and named it "Louisiana". It still makes the main entrance to the museum. Mr Brun was married with three women through his life, and all three of them were named Louise.

Source: Wikipedia Danish.

By ricewood, # 28. August 2008, 20:39:41

That's odd. All those wives named Louise.

I'd like to have six wives named Susan.

Uh oh. Here I go again, corrunpting the post.

I don't understand why people cut the grass.

By b_laudanum, # 29. August 2008, 17:27:24

avatar
in the US if your grass is higher than 10 inches you get a ticket for over 600 USD from your borough,
I do have a regular gardener in my country house for this exactly reason.
Snakes, wild animals and more can be dangerous for the neighbors if your back yard becomes a small jungle.
If you ask me I do not agree with grass not more than 1/2 an inch.Green is beautiful!

By ellinidata, # 29. August 2008, 20:22:15

avatar
higher than 10 inches? :eyes: :faint:

I do agree with the fact of not become a small jungle because of the neighboors and the family safe, but sometimes I guess, the council worry about so many stupid things and do so many stupid laws...

By b_laudanum, # 29. August 2008, 20:27:10

avatar
exactly my point!
when it rains and there is a flooding in the roads,
they can invest time and energy to correct some of the Borough problems
instead of walking with a ruler(just saying)
to see who will get a ticket for an uncut grass!

@ Bea
At this museum park they cut the grass in order to underline the shape of the artificial hills. The whole terrain of the park is shaped like one big sculpture

Yes Nic, in those places, I mean, public places is even interesting cut the grass and plants to make a beautiful garden. In this case I even agree because of art!

My fave photo is the last. This is an enjoyable theme. Such lovely, thick grass. Makes one want to take off the shoes and luxuriate!

Ahh, I am imagining my happy feet and toes! Now I will roll about in the grass, slowly so I don't go off in a tumble -- I would get so dizzy rolling down the hill now. Such exploits are for the very young!

Is there an ocean at the bottom?

Thanks for the fun

By momable, # 2. September 2008, 03:37:04

avatar
Yes Elly. There´s ocean at the bottom, but the terrain flattens out. So you wont get wet if you roll down the hill. A lot of kids do
The lawn there must have been made by a golf course green keeper. :D
The kids roooool down and then runs up the stairs. Again and again
