Are you a fan of the Opera web browser?

Do you live in Minnesota, USA?

...well, that's all you need to join the MN Opera User Group! Why would you want to do that? Well, if you want to grow and advertise the browser, this is a nice grassroots way to do so. In addition, we can do the normal group type activities:

Talk about our custom rigs, give tutorials and demos, discuss the following:
- How you first heard of the Opera browser?
- Why you switched to using the Opera browser?
- How many people have you gotten to use the Opera browser?
- What responses do you typically get when telling people about the Opera browser?
- How to get people to use the Opera browser.
- What are the most essential features and functionality in the Opera browser?
- What are the essential features and functionality missing in the Opera browser?
- Widget ideas. Develop a neat widget.
- Site compatibility issues. How to contact site owners/developers?
- How each one customizes their browser.
- Which widgets do people use?
- Do they also use Opera Mobile, Opera Mini, etc?
- Start a local Opera campaign for promoting the browser in their workplace, college, etc.

Rules

1. Educate and consult the Midwest region on the benefits of an Open Web
2. Learn from Peers, Go beyond screen shots. Get hands on training at meetups with other user's Opera configurations, learn the how's and whys.
3. Brand presence. Opera is still not widely known. We'll kick around ideas for expanding the brand here in MN and ways to promote.
4. Contribute to making Opera better- Group Wish-Lists that have the input of the community
5. My.Opera.com Community Advocate- Help the entire Opera Community via tutorials, forum checks and user support.
