Ever since I bought my used P1i I hoped to see Opera Mobile 9.5 on it. Finally the wait is over and Opera did it again: Yesterday they published the new Beta for UIQ phones aswell! This is so great, thank you.

I have some small issues, the Flash plugin I modded onto the phone is recognised and used by Opera Mobile 8.5 but not the new Beta, typing in text areas is really slow, landscape mode would be fine and Link is still missing (but there's hope now). A more modern UI like Opera Mobile on Windows Mobile would be great, too, but probably not something that can easily enough be done. I guess this is what you can expect from the first Beta for UIQ.

Stability is perfect, as good as a final I'd say after a day of using it. The Widget Engine makes perfect sense aswell and runs super smooth! Now I can use AJAX-sites, store passwords and surf with tabs while I still have Opera Mini for the quick everyday tasks. They are the perfect companions and spice up my phone!
