sweet nothings...

photo printing!

I have finally made a start on getting my favourite photos printed. Something I have been meaning to do for quite some time. I have had my digital camera for about a year and a half now, and I never seem to get round to printing out any pictures! They just stay in my computer, where I check on them nervously from time to time to make sure that they haven't been accidentally deleted or wiped out (which has happened several times! I usually have them saved onto disc too though, if I remember)

I have been working through them all carefully and methodically (there are LOTS!), putting all my favourite ones aside to be copied onto my memory chip-stick thing, and taking them to the photography shop bit by bit, to be printed out on their strange machines.

Call me old fashioned, but I feel much happier when they are on actual paper, and not just floating around in untrustworthy computer memory. I can relax knowing that my favourites are safe, and that they are tucked away in my little albums, waiting to be picked up and flicked through whenever I want. I find that I look at photos a lot more when they are in albums, than when I have to look at them on a computer, or rummage through a box of higgilty piggilty photos.

There's something quite therapeutic and satisfying too, in sitting down with a big pile of your favourite photos, and putting them into order in a nice new photo album

I have approximately three actual photos in total now - they were sent to me as well! One day, I'll just take my entire computer down to one of those photo places and get every single one printed - I'll be thankful for it if one day my computer goes up in flames! Of course, if that happened, the house (including the album) would probably follow...

Ah but computers sometimes like to just forget things from time to time

You should definitely think about getting your favourite pics printed, it doesn't cost that much! less than 10p a picture usually! One day you will be glad that you did (the day afterwards for example!)

I am still trawling through all my pics, choosing which ones to print!
Having to do it in batches!
